Dear R3 Family,
From moving into our new offices and training center to preparing for the 2020 Summer Work Academy, the last couple of weeks have been non-stop for us at R3!
It’s been a surreal ride! Many of you responded to the call we made to support us in equipping the new office and training center, and we’re humbled by your generosity. We’ve spent the last two weeks unpacking, organizing our new space, sharing some tears of gratitude and expressions of joy, and being thankful to God and all of you for doing this work alongside us! Thank you so much, merci beaucoup, muchas gracias! (Thank you, thank you!)
If you still would like to contribute, there are a few remaining items on the wishlist. Click here to check it out.

During the week prior to the start of the Summer Work Academy, we held orientation meetings with our students to explain the focus of this summer’s work and leadership development projects.
This summer will focus on serving the East St. Louis community with a large effort to clean up streets and alleys in the Lansdowne community. It’s been amazing to see our interns working so hard to beautify and revitalize their own community. We’re so happy to see them so joyful and engaging during this time.
We have 16 interns, 13 of them are continuing with us in the program, and 3 of them are joining us from the Christian Activity Center, being trained in the following areas: leadership, math, shop, career development, light cooking, and meal preparation, and daily program administration.
If you’d like to sponsor an intern, you can click here.

The only requirement for volunteering is a desire to serve others to make a tangible difference in the life of a student and the heart of a community. The summer internship will run each Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from June 9th through July 30th. If you’d like to volunteer with us, please click here to sign up!

Once again, we’re thankful for your support!
Love,
The R3 Team
